Two guys logically explain why The Boss, a middle-aged war veteran, does not look like a 20-year-old e-girl

Gamers: Well she should look like one anyway

I’m so tired

It’s so fucking stupid, she looks pretty much exactly like the original character but in a photo-realistic style

Holy shit, I somehow missed the most unhinged comment:

[CW: Transphobia]

spoiler

They made the boss look trans and that’s a fucking crime.

The chin is different, it looks like a man’s chin, the mouth is different, it looks like a man’s mouth, more specifically it looks like Chris Chan’s mouth, don’t believe me, go do an image search. Neither the mouth or the chin or the brow or forehead or zygomatic process feminine in any way in the remake version.

The boss has deep cheek hollows because they changed her maxilla as well, literally everything they did was to make the Boss look like a ******.

Their brains are so fucking cooked

Gamers: Realism in video games doesn’t matter, unless it’s a black person existing in a medieval setting in which case I suddenly really really care about realism.

Heaven forbid there be a video game character with some character. I was thinking she could use a little sun damage too.

It’s literally soft vs harsh lighting and PS2 vs PS5 graphics. The new character model literally has the exact same bone structure as the old one. It’s just that the harsher lighting on the PS5 makes her features look stronger, and reveals extra detail that the PS5 can render.

Do gamers even know how lighting works in photography and film?

The only thing I’d be critical of here is the removal of the yellow colour filter for a blue one, yes it’s a stylistic choice and the yellow filter does date the original game to the mid 2000s, and the developers want to avoid their remake looking dated, but it was a big part of how the original game looked.

I would say that the Boss is supposed to have kind of a motherly or matronly vibe, but of course the gamers have to be super weird and porn-brained about that, too.

Umm sorry this doesn’t look like any of the milfs i’ve seen in my online videos so if motherly is what they were aiming for they missed the mark.

Snake, I’m taking these warheads to the Soviet Union - not just the missiles, but these big mommy milkers, too

There’s definitely some sexuality undertones in The Boss vs. Big Boss, especially in that last fight where she’s in a skintight sneaking suit half open to show booba. That’s definitely intentional, she spends her the entire game in very much “unflattering” but very practical clothing.

They’re basically fuckfighting to the death at the end there.

It’s a production, so it’s naturally going to be a bit weird and horny (and oedipal in this case) - just not completely porn brained like the gamers are.

All Kojima games have their moments of being weirdly horny for little else than fanservice, but they also tend to include moments that are kind of horny with actual message and the whole thing about The Boss is that that’s there as much on purpose as EVA is trying to ride some solid snake

I swear those people have never seen a real woman on their life. They actually think hentai cartoons is the way women supposed to look.
