side note, there’s a pretty good mashup of this track with a weeknd instrumental if you want it in a more synth/80s flavor

Reminds me of a couple names I came across:

Switchblade Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems, VAMPIRE Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems, Puma Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)

As seen here and here

I also remember Scott Ritter talking about ‘Hellfire’ missiles on some US drones. Marketing departments having fun.

I also remember listening to a random episode of theirs and thinking something didn’t seem right, mostly lib-like takes

As they mention in the show, it’s surprising most of this has not entered public discourse earlier. Perhaps she never got enough support in the last election for the major candidates to care about focusing on her. Unlike Mike’s DeSantis info which is based more on phone interviews, this stuff seems like it can found by just searching open source info. It’s also funny Michael Tracy never delved into this stuff, as he devoted a lot of his time to her campaign during the last election.

I also don’t know the name of the style. From the modern crop of comic book artists Daniel Warren Johnson draws in that detailed but cartoony style. I agree that Moebius looks like the original inspiration.

Just found this random one I sort of like from DWJ, nothing fancy but gotta love the star watching vibes.

Haven’t read anything by him yet but want to check out Beta Ray Bill sometime. Looks up my alley.

I think most of the Sean+Andy only episodes they’ve done were pretty good, especially the strike updates. I also think they’re hit and miss for international affairs, especially Andy.

Also the last episode with Jamie felt awkward. Like maybe they didn’t want to go into too many details, I dunno.

‘Silverado Policy Accelerator’ - Silicon valley marketing expressions being borrowed by the think tank world. Sounding hip to stand out in the crowd I guess. CrowdStrike founder is at the top of their lineup. They have a podast too.

Second half of this episode has some interesting cause/effect examples about weather/climate changes adding to the overhead of running nuclear power plants (and other things too). One is that France’s water used for cooling their nuclear plants is warmer nowadays. Also jellyfish clogging up nuclear plants lol. Maybe that overhead is negligible, but it’s not something I’ve seen discussed much.
