Some marketing dummy has probably given it some shitty name but it’s like a mix of Geof Darrow (Hard Boiled, The Matrix), Moebius, and Peter Chung (Aeon Flux).

Just a hyper-detailed take on a comic book style.

Both of those styles are inspired by Moebius / Jean Giraud, a french scifi / weird fiction concept artist. Once you see it, it’s hard to not notice his influence in a lot of art.

I also don’t know the name of the style. From the modern crop of comic book artists Daniel Warren Johnson draws in that detailed but cartoony style. I agree that Moebius looks like the original inspiration.

Just found this random one I sort of like from DWJ, nothing fancy but gotta love the star watching vibes.

Johnson is one of the best illustrators at the moment. His Wonder Woman book (for me) is a masterpiece of visual, kinetic, story-telling and a great take on an already established character.

Haven’t read anything by him yet but want to check out Beta Ray Bill sometime. Looks up my alley.
