People love apocryphal little stories that confirm their own biases. I saw a Twitter thread the other day that started out fine with a discussion about the way that excluding women from a field of study creates blind spots and then devolved into a bunch of people saying shit like , “I heard one time a bunch MALE archeologists found an artifact and decided it was a ritual implement until a single WOMAN saw it and instantly identified it as a dildo and everybody clapped” and then a bunch of people going “lmao so true men 😂😂😂”
If you see some of the shitty posts I’ve made on here, you can imagine the stuff that got left on the cutting room floor. Sometimes a post just doesn’t quite cohere and this is the greatest tragedy in life
