Seeing the Chinese govt as your comrades

China directly supported Nepalese monarchism against the Nepalese maoists, they flew in guns to stop them from winning. China directly supports and arms the Filipino government in their war against Filipino maoists. China had relations with Pinochet’s Chile and continues them with Israel. Vietnam is one of Israel’s largest military suppliers.

Whether China is AES or millions being lifted out of poverty is besides the point. The CPC ROUTINELY violates international proletarian solidarity and that is very concerning. So it’s funny to me when online mf’s constantly view China’s rise with starry eyes and defend it online. China would sell you out for a penny. You extent so much solidarity and defense to the PRC that they would never extend to you, unless it was profitable for them (and let’s face it a communist revolution in the States would hurt profits for everyone)

Not exactly a take but I think its bad to use “X-oid” as an insulting descriptor.

9.5 times out of 10 you cant even start to pretend you are using it in the scientific “similar to” meaning, like if you’re calling literally a western guy a “westoid” its pretty easy to tell what you mean by it(ableism).

“X should have been bullied more” is/was a meme not meant to be taken seriously, at least that’s what I thought for a while. Then I noticed the context of a lot of its use and the earnestness of it and it reeks a lot like :reddit-logo: takes such as “my old man kicked my ass and I turned out fine.”

Social pressure to not wander too far off into the weeds is one thing, but “corrective” bullying is :grillman: shit to me.
