“X should have been bullied more” is/was a meme not meant to be taken seriously, at least that’s what I thought for a while. Then I noticed the context of a lot of its use and the earnestness of it and it reeks a lot like :reddit-logo: takes such as “my old man kicked my ass and I turned out fine.

Social pressure to not wander too far off into the weeds is one thing, but “corrective” bullying is :grillman: shit to me.

Bullying fucked up my sense of self pretty badly and exclusively made me a worse and more toxic person. I couldn’t agree more.

Yeh it’s basically a way for people to say they think traumatization can be an effective political tool without saying that explicitly.
