Wanted to make a post, but it said “score_too_low”. How do you up your score?
Outland (1981) - Not a horror film, but more of a space thriller/western starring Sean Connery and Peter Boyle that is High Noon in space. The atmosphere and set design is very similar to Alien and Jerry Goldsmith also wrote the score to both films as well.

The Thing From Another World (1951) - Now everyone has seen Carpenter’s film, I think it’s time for everyone to see the original. It’s a pretty great “monster on the loose” film.
The Creature From The Black Lagoon Trilogy: The Creature From The Black Lagoon (1954), Revenge of the Creature (1955), and The Creature Walks Among Us (1956) - Every horror marathon needs some Universal Monster stuff and this is pretty good.
The Haunting (1963) - Arguably the best adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s The Haunting of Hill House and one of the greatest haunted house films ever made.
Tarantula! (1955) - a classic 50s B movie about a giant tarantula loose in the desert. Pretty entertaining.
It Came From Beneath The Sea (1955) - Another 50s classic this time featuring the stop motion animation of Ray Harryhausen bringing a giant octopus to life.
Night of the Demon (1957) - A classic of British horror cinema features great atmosphere and memorable demon effects. Make sure it’s the 96 minute version too.
