I had seen bill Corbett on chapo or something and knew he leaned left. Didn’t know about Mike Nelson but his character definitely gave off “prom king” (or like Bart Simpson wishing he were prom king) sorta vibes. And I feel like your character on a show like this especially is written to complement the actor’s personality, so it does feel right
No clue about Joel, but imo he had the funniest interview on jerry seinfeld’s entire Netflix show, so hopefully he’s decent
Honestly I always thought Bill Corbett was one of the more gifted voice talents on MST3K and I felt super vindicated about my love of his version of Crow on all those old message boards back in the day.
It’s sadly why it’s such a good cult show and the riffs work. They aren’t really nerds or political diehards, they’re just a bunch of guys and gals riffing.
Honestly the not being a nerd thing is argueably the most important thing, cause it’s what every other ‘riffing group’ really suffers from.
They still resent Bernie even though he lost twice, has no chance at all of ever winning the presidency ever and is completely irrelevant even with his purported position as the leader of progressive democrats.
Hillary Clinton considered it a low priority, as did the rest of the democrats when they failed for years and years to even try to codify it through any sort of law.
And just in general, it’s hilarious that liberals are still going to grandstand over abortion rights like they weren’t the ones who fucking failed everyone and lost them.

Yeah! The phrase “reactionary about freedom” has made me laugh for years. Also it’s really funny how innocent he seemed about it. He had never heard the term reactionary before and instantly decided to try reclaiming it before someone informed him reactionary is synonymous with fascist lol
