In calendar year 2022 the city paid $378 million in legal settlements related to claims against the NYPD. Twenty-two of the total 1,395 settlement claims paid out in calendar year 2022 were over $10 million.
The FY 2023 library budget was 471M by way of comparison and the pigs paid nearly 400M of settlements lol
