a sense of entitlement the young now seem to have in abundance compared to their predecessors
Millenials Are Killing the War Crime Industry
I don’t understand Britain. Why is their anthem/motto “god save the queen/king”? That sounds pathetic lol. Like they’re on the verge of defeat already.
Generally it helps to have hope for a future or at least some kind of stability to fight for. Not just “the same shit but it gets a little bit worse every year.”
Probably would help. But what do I know?
We are trapped in the machine and the machine is bleeding to death and I sure as fuck ain’t gonna die to staunch the bleeding
Wait whose tyranny are we checking here? The tyranny of the rotting post-empires trying to expand the dominion of their nuclear gangster state? That wants to send their children to die in Russia for the glory of finding new markets for capitalism.
Take Britain in Particular: what the hell has this country ever done for young people? Starting in 2010 Britain has been speedrunning throwing every all the things that made it worthwhile (and Britons were richer than Americans in 2007), and Brexit was a huge middle finger to young people. Turns out the big dream of UK ‘patriots’ is to replicate any random flyover red state in the US.
IIRC, Britain under the Tories has just done what the US is doing: treating the young like second class citizens who’s opinions don’t matter and what do you know, the country looks and acts like a retirement home.
I think that if brexit was done by somebody like Corbyn, then it could’ve been a good thing. It could’ve allowed UK to do a lot of nationalization of the core industries and pass socialist policies that wouldn’t be allowed by the EU neoliberal policies. Unfortunately, it was done by ghouls who used it as an opportunity to do a massive wealth transfer to the top.
Countries that are part of EU have to comply with EU regulations, and those have a significant impact on domestic economic policies.
