Intel is ultimately driven by exact same logic as any other private enterprise. If Intel doesn’t see building fabs in Germany as being profitable then neither will other companies. The fact that Intel has financial woes isn’t really a factor here.

Yeah, gonna take a few years to iron the kinks out. It’s nice to know that it does work in principle though.
