What Cuba has done will NEVER be forgiven by them, the Revolution, in the face of the United States, in a country that was basically a private island for dirty gringos, is a MAJOR offense. It still freaks them the fuck out, because after decades of blockades, an invasion, decades of relentless smear campaigns by the Miami gusanos, the Revolution SURVIVES, there were some really hard times, especially the 90s and early 2000s, but the Revolution SURVIVES, cubans have showed great resolve to protect what they achieved, even in the hardest of times, under the threat of famine or nuclear annihilation, they stood by the Revolution.
They wont stop with the embargo or the smear campaigns (and the occassional coup and military threats) until the entire island is once again back in complete US control, but that will never happen again. The Revolution will outlive the United States itself.
