With this in mind, you should know that the last four years have each, one after the other, been the most profitable year so far for Star Citizen. :capitalist-laugh:
Witcher 3 essentially having its full, final content out in only a year is pretty insane in hindsight. You see what the crunch went into.
They burnt through all their staff in that one year which is why cyberpunk had a dogshit launch

i agree with the general sentiment, and star citizen is a grift for fools, but (load bearing “but”)
this image is absolutely unreadable; it’s teeny when at 100% but when you see it at 1:1 there’s a whole lot of open space for no goddamn reason, what resolution screen was this made on? one of those meme curved screens? it also only shows release dates, not when work on the various projects started, which would overall make the argument even stronger, but it’s just “oh, here’s some games from 2 companies”
this format makes it so they had to actually not show all the games that fromsoft released in this period, because i guess showing them releasing up to 3 games a year, which they do, would make it look like we’re comparing apples to oranges? idk. They released 14 games, more than double the reported 6, including an interesting VR-only walking sim. They’re not just the kingfieldslike (or how fake fans call them, “soulslikes”) company.
“but there’s only one team that works on the souls games” no there isn’t, dks2 was infamously made by a different team while the “main” one was working on bloodborne
but CIG has multiple internal teams too so comparing them by their full extent would make them look worse
man putting it as “they started production after the launch of the second wave of gen 1 i7” really put this in perspective, we are on gen 13 at this point holy shit
