The US is trying to cold war 2.0 with China. They want to encircle, isolate, and balkanize them (hence the Uigher shit to try and push separatism in a vital trade region, hence HK shit, etc). Some amount of the capitalists have come to understand the liberalization of China has failed, their attempts to steal its wealth has failed and it is gaining the upper hand and has a communist party with many disciplined communists in it in power and they are in panic mode now.

It’s also a nice distraction for them, they can, instead of taking the blame themselves for outsourcing to increase profits blame the Chinese for “not playing by the rules” and “stealing” intellectual property (something the US government has done in the past). It’s building up nationalism to counter the rising inequality and scape-goat the issues onto China. While the people are distracted by the media with tales of intrigue and yellow peril, of a “genocide” in Xinjiang they will pay less attention to all that is going on at home from rising homelessness to the sinking of even mild social democrat reforms (ala Bernie), to BLM. BLM is especially of interest although not the underlying cause of this push, by making China out to be more brutal and downplaying US brutality they can still claim “at least we’re not as bad as China”.

They realize the position they are in and they are desperate. Trump is specifically pushing it because he’s a racist nationalist who has to blame outsiders for being unfair but Democrats (including the much vaunted AOC) are quite on-board with the anti-China stuff and you’ll see, they’ll surprise you by working hand in hand with Republicans just like in the cold war to crush the left and build up a villain narrative against China.

People like to talk about the great firewall of China. The day a fourth of China can speak English and is unleashed on the US internet is the day the US would build our own great firewall to keep them and their opinions out. Same thing with surveillance, they like talking about Chinese surveillance but the US is second to none and getting more bold. I predict an attempt to make encryption economically untenable for all large companies to maintain (by withdrawing safe harbor) will pass within the next 5-10 years. I expect further measures of censorship against “disinformation” to be pushed by the US government and accepted and implemented by private companies. Anyone who posts counter-narratives against the US propaganda may very well be silenced in multiple ways.

So something to understand. Communism is not traditionally understood to be something you achieve in one country. What you do achieve in one country is socialism.

Under actual communism when the last capitalist nations have fallen and the world is united as 99% countries under communist rule and a long transitional period has occurred to the point the last person who could remember capitalism has died, where the society truly is classless, what do police do in such a society? That is an interesting question. Very little is the likely answer if they even exist. (Obviously you’ll have some policing functions such as detectives in any society)

However under socialism, in a socialist country the police exist to repress the bourgeoisie, counter-revolutionary elements, elements of liberalism (see previous point), agents of capital (foreign and domestic) and keep the peace. The last one is important because you’re still going to for some time have not insignificant amounts of people who for various reasons commit crimes from theft of personal property to destruction/theft/vandalism of state property to rape to murder to petty interpersonal disputes and fights. The other ones are also important because if you allow capitalist nations to interfere internally, to stir up dissent, and so on, they will and they will counter-revolution and kill you and many other people.

The difference is under proper socialism the police attempt to take conflict resolution roles. That is instead of beating someone for a minor crime and tossing them in a cell they get them counseling through the state, they will be trained in conflict resolution. Instead of “stop asshole or we’ll shoot” the words will be “what’s going on comrade? why are you behaving this way?”

Look at how China handles policing. They assign officers to a given neighborhood, they live there, are expected to get to know the people there and so on. They are integrated into the community not an oppressive force from outside it.

This really should get admins thinking about how resistant to deplatforming we are here though. Who they’re hosting with, who their name registrar is and if they’ll fold at the first mention of the fact people here cheer violence against landlords and deny US atrocity propaganda re:China as well as the fact we’re anti-US communists in here. I would really try and prioritize incorporating through an offshore company or otherwise obfuscating links between whoever is point of contact legally speaking for this website and the website. Because outside of that, well they could get an angry visit from the feds trying to intimidate them or worse.

I wouldn’t say we need bulletproof hosting, but something bullet-resistant wouldn’t hurt, e.g. incorporation outside the legal jurisdiction of the US and her pawn nations (Eyes countries are right out), registrar outside the US and same. Hosting is trickier given latency with overseas but you can move hosting easier than you can move names and there are companies that care less if the feds come raging and crying to their door than others.

This is because the Christian fascists have their own fundraising website because the mainstream ones would refuse them on this one. If you want to do anything about it you’d need to pressure the payment providers upstream of that fundraising website but a lot of them are either huge multinationals (credit card companies/banks) that simply don’t care and won’t respond or payment processors run by libertarian weirdos whose only rules are no blatantly illegal stuff and only because the feds would arrest them for it.

Just a gang shooting. They knew the risks, they went into enemy gang territory wearing their gang colors and packing heat. It’s a sad state of affairs but this is the risk you take every day being in one of LA’s most notorious gangs. It’s just a fact other gangs are going to want to retaliate for your gang’s actions against them. And when you’re the top gang all the other gangs really want to take you down.

The lesson here is simple: Stay in school kids and don’t join gangs.

Yeah this sounds like bullshit. It is very hard to lose US citizenship if you got it by birth (those who were naturalized can be stripped of it quite a bit more easily by contrast like for being communists or other “radicals”).

I do think it takes an act of congress at least to do so and that may or may not be constitutional (in the courts) as it’s one of those bedrock, core “rights” that all the others go back to. If you can strip someone of their citizenship you can effectively strip them of all their other rights and courts know this.

I mean the US can do things like cancelling a passport in a case like Snowden but that’s far from stripping of citizenship. I can’t honestly recall any cases where people were en mass stripped of citizenship, not even FDR stripped the Japanese who were interned in literal prison camps of citizenship during this period. I don’t recall them stripping communists of citizenship during the red scares and if there was a time where congress would have been absolutely for just unpersoning and punishing people those would have been it. They could have simply passed a law stating any members of a communist party lose US citizenship which legally would be a lot easier than “if you work in this specific industry in this specific country you’ll lose citizenship”.

You already get fucked pretty hard being a US citizen working primarily in another country because it’s one of the few countries on earth where you must pay income taxes even if you haven’t set foot in the US for years just by virtue of being a citizen.

Now could they put other pressure on these people? Hell yeah. Harass with IRS investigations, seizures of assets with claims they’re foreign agents and force them to undergo costly, emotionally draining court battles to get it back among other things. They could even plausibly charge all these people with treason easier than stripping them of citizenship I’d think. (Though admittedly threatening to do that might be enough to get most to bow out and go home)

Which *misinform people and take them down a false path of left anti-communism which makes porky the bourgeois pig squeal with delight because he doesn’t care if you’re anti-capitalist so long as you’re ineffectual and fighting those people who actually are. Now beardtube… that’s the stuff.

Not that I massively care but hentai and other drawn pornography is the only kind of porn that one can argue is somewhat ethical under capitalism. It doesn’t inherently involve women being sexually exploited. But in Australia they only like abuse and exploitation of real women it seems. Also women with small breasts or near flat chests are not real women but girls there according to their censorship regime I read which is massively fucked up but then again the whole place is.

Reminds me of how BDSM porn is technically illegal in the UK. While there are arguments to be made for sure about necessary censorship the idea that capitalists can make them is absurd given they sob about caring about the children but won’t make sure they’re fed or housed or given a decent education or not interned on camps on islands or that those children can have jobs when they grow up. It’s part of morality panic and enforcement used to control and appear to be doing something for the benefit of people instead of actually doing it.

Good. Now Trump can appoint someone. The libs won’t have any supreme court seats to shame people over to vote Biden over, Biden will hopefully tank and increasing the liberals will realize the institutional processes have failed them and they can either accept what comes as a result and lie down and take it or accept the system needs changes.

The sooner you realize America is fucked and has been fucked for a while court or no court the sooner you accept these things as necessary to awake the sleepy liberals from their lazy stupor. Only once they’ve accepted the institutions are lost, that there is nothing sacred left to defend. Then we can see real change. Maybe not revolutionary but certainly we’ll be seeing new comrades and maybe you lesser evilism folks might even get an angry enough coalition to get that vaunted harm reduction you’re always on about.
