I have the dumbest office job. I go in, walk upstairs to my office, sit in my room alone all day, leave and go home. I only ever see anyone when I need to go to the kitchen, or when I go to make a copy.
and yet it’s imperative that I go in. My boss doesn’t even work in my building. So most of the time I don’t even go in, and I never tell him. Barely even talk to him unless it’s an emergency.
I like that i don’t have to deal with anyone, but it’s so dumb that they really want people in the space…

when i was looking for an apartment earlier this summer, we literally had a landlord pull our application and deny us because we asked him to fix too much shit before we moved in. I live in a particularly "college"y town, so there are so many slumlords who know that young kids just need a shitt place to crash. we are working professionals with stable income, so its not like we are really needing that level, but the rent was cheap so we applied.
we were like ‘are you going to fix these holes in the walls?’ and shit that would make a place liveable, and they were just like… rejected!
i mean the protests did lead to that one precinct getting torched, which is one of the best things I’ve seen happen in a long time.
my sister is dating an ex-idf soldier (american who went over, colonized for a bit, and came back), which is almost worse in my opinion. I was hoping they would break up (still have a chance, they are only a couple months in and have already been on-off), but idk what I’ll say to him if i ever have to meet him.
if the first words out of his mouth aren’t “oh my god I was so young and stupid and I am spending as much time and money and energy to rectify my mistake” then my next words will make my sister probably never want to talk to me ever again lol.
I would be absolutely livid if they anounced that while we were flying and people took off their masks during the flight. like I do so much risk analysis in my life because of this shit, and i understand there is a lot outside of my control, but jesus that is so unecessary.
they heard “fuck you i wont do what they tell me” and assume it meant they dont have to treat people with respect, not be racist, etc. every other lyrics is just background noise.
