i’ve been trying to decide what to do with Elon and a big problem has come up
the man has effectively done nothing, by which I mean we can’t accurately judge him as a human or make measure upon his soul, for he is effectively just finance + memes: not a person, with feelings, a null quantity, alienated from any moral or determining freedom, and thus we all cry: surely there must have been some moral action, some essence, a thing beyond tweets; image-qua-marketing-department, a self, the thing that is more than just a nerd with a bad hairline, something to actually judge - yet - fine; not an inventor, nor engineer, nor even really a sinner, but something, and yet - is he good? is he evil? it matters not, not one bit, because is he even there? self as avatar of finance capital, and all that’s left is “personality”, which in this case is “quirky memes” - is he even real? i doubt it, and therefore lay no claims otherwise in moral judgment
what did elon invent? nothing. what did elon even do? somehow even less. he had nothing to do with the cars, the rockets, the tunnels - at worst, he contributed to paypal, and really that’s it, that’s all - the rest was just the vertical tension of a narcissistic ego mediated by Twitter & capital.
elon is an illusion, he’s a projection of the collective nerd ego, invariably twisted to do great Evil, but it turns out to be wellkinda just Capital, and so what do we have then?
we have the VOID. we have Absolute Nothing, uncritically grasped, and so it turns yet to Hell, and no judgment but the cries of the masses of internet commentariat, bubbling from solid-state cauldrons

To be fair, they tried to make him as pathetic as possible. But his wife was portrayed as if she was the sweetest lady ever, even though she started the beef.

Literally though. I just watched the ep where comic book guy marries a Japanese girl, he says to the girls dad “I used my degree to get a real job at Springfield Phosphate Works.” Lisa goes “but they’re heavy polluters! But also the CEO is a woman, hmmm…”
I dont think theres a hidden Marxist on the writing staff, but they seem to (at least in the new episodes I was watching) use Lisa as the capital L Liberal punching bag. A lot of jokes about being unlikable despite having popular policies, thinking she knows better than others, about being proud of losing. Felt like i was being dogwhistled too, but might just be looking too hard into it
