Seems like a simple solution here is for US to just not be in the South China sea.
I feel like the solution here is probably something like “engage in good faith diplomacy” “stop engaging in self-destructive one sided trade wars” “throw your dementia riddled leaders out of office” “stop trying to provoke world war three against your largest trade partner”
Imagine being serious chinese politicians and having 3 ivy league, highly capable translators on the line and all of them struggle to make sense of what Biden is saying and hoping their translations of his dementia don’t cause WWIII. At this point, eliminating the direct line with Biden is self defense and in the best interest of humanity.
On a slight tangent, I bet Biden has drastically accelerated BRICS expansion. One day you meet Putin or Xi who are sharp and have actual plans for the future, and next day you meet Biden who’s drooling on himself. I’m sure it made it clear to most world leaders which way the wind is blowing.
