Even the worst example of them “just being contrarian” that got called out recently (about the election in I want to say Nicaragua?) turned out, in retrospect, to be 100% true and correct.

Doesn’t he live in Nicaragua? I’d just assume he’s very on top of things there

Doesn’t he live in Nicaragua?

Instantly disqualifies you as a source.

The correct place to live in while covering Latin America is Washington DC. However, we will allow coverage from Honduras or The Dominican Republic, if you’re there for… uh… reasons.

Pretty wild coincidence that all media originating from America’s official enemies is “generally unreliable” at best.

Really big coincidence how they suddenly had problems at the same time with CGTN, Global Times, and Grayzone all of a sudden in 2020. Just one day in 2020 they realized “oh those three are problematic and must be banned” and this was in no way related to anything else at all, it was a very objective and unbiased process.

At least they included the caveat for Bellingcat that they receive funding from the National Endowment for Democracy…

If they were to click on that damn link to the NED, they would see that even Wikipedia calls it a US agency. It’s not even a shell company when it’s that obvious. Just say Bellingcat is funded by the US Congress, damnit!
