The other night I had an extremely violently realistic dream and it was after I saw that video of the cop in Nigeria being lynched. Even though I thought it would be ok to watch because it’s justified, it clearly still affected me. Make sure you watch what you consume on the internet.

A few years ago I watched videos of people being beheaded or killed just to learn what it was like. I justified it on the grounds that a writer should know these things. I didn’t last long. It’s the only time anything I’ve seen has literally made me feel sick.

Fr. I used to use gore vids to make myself detach from my emotions more. It was like a way of keeping my emotional defenses up.

After quite a long time of healing, I decided I’d go watch one of the gore vids to see if my reaction would be different. God, it was horrible this time. I don’t know how I used to stomach that shit.
