Whatever my feelings on Ukraine, it is fucked still that a private business is able to deplatform an entire nation.
On the other hand, it could actually be a major win for us. Libs love Ukraine. Libs dislike Musk but like capitalism. Capitalism enables Musk to hurt Ukraine. This could be the thing that a new batch of socialists point to as the moment that radicalized them.
And even if 95% of libs have the wrong takeaway here, that 5% is something to work with. Now if that 95% keeps getting whittled down…

“Nation” is an odd way to spell “illegitimate breakaway republic”.
Not really sure what the train of thought here is, if Ukraine is a breakway republic from the USSR, so is Russia. The whole thing was illegitimate, but I don’t know how it’s more or less so for any of the different post-Soviet states.

I mean calling geopolitical structures and actions “illegitimate” or “illegal” is pretty much just propaganda. In reality they’re gonna exist if if they exist and do what they’re gonna do u less a greater geopolitical force intervenes.
