I reread the chapter where he explains the robot. When it attacked Mariejois it ran out of power and was supposed to be destroyed, but some scientists hid it on Egghead. It must’ve been Vegapunk found it and built the lab nearby to study it.

Pretty sure he just happened to find it on Egghead. It attacked Mariejois 200 years ago and disappeared, but it’s originally from the lost kingdom around 900 years ago.

I’m guessing at most 4-5 more chapters then we’re off to Elbaf or maybe an intermission as the world digests Vegapunk’s message
