Electoral politics are the lowest form of politics. I assume everyone here understands that. You should be looking to other strategies to influence politics and ask yourself “under which president would that strategy be easier?”. That should be your primary metric. All these other arguments are either purely emotional or predicated on the idea that electoralism is still viable.

PS: this is only relevant for voters in swing states. Otherwise vote green or psl or whatever.

Second, my two cents - and I have no idea if this is relevant to you or not - is if you’re relying on social media for your socialization then logging off will be much harder and less rewarding because everyone needs socialization. What is the material/strategic benefit to not voting? We’re adults enough to acknowledge that voting isn’t a valid strategy to save us. But it is a valid tactic for helping other strategies. Well the reason why they like latam socialists so much is the get popularly elected to power which still remains a strategy for DSA national. Local chapters tend to understand they need external organizations.

Also don’t go to PSL or IWW directly. Theres all sorts of socialist groups made explicitly for forming tenants unions. Autonomous Tenants Union is the only national group I know of. Scan Facebook for local radical tenants rights groups first. Usually those people will also be involved with groups like the IWW, DSA, or PSL.
