I’m not sure the scab mods will rebel. They are after all taking the job in the midst of a large scale protest. Clearly they care more about the “power” they wield than the cause of preserving API access. I will say that they may be overwhelmed and will almost certainly do a worse job given that they no longer have access to the custom mod tools that required the free API.
You know I was just thinking about that. Are they going to change the name of the company? Are they going to actually follow some safety standards? Are they going to wait a few years for people to forget? I can’t think of a game plan that could possibly lead to this company remaining salve.
I would vote for a measure to engage billionaires in a constructive dialog. I would begin by utilizing the Socratic method to ease the capital owners into the concept of surplus labor value. I believe they would come to understand the inherently inequal exchange that is wage-labor and agree to divest from their holdings. They would then help transform their companies into worker cooperatives that are concerned with satisfying human needs rather than the accumulation of abstract wealth.
What do you all think? Is this a productive way to approach reforming the Capitalist system into a Socialist organization of the economy?
I’ve always thought that corporate executives are prone to the bandwagon effect. You aren’t pivoting your startup to AI? Well I definitely don’t want to keep investing in you. Guardians of the Galaxy did really well? That means we should reshoot Suicide Squad to be more like it! We’re not making quick progress on our new software? We need to hire more programmers!
They just make the same mistakes as all the executives before them. All people should assume corporate executives are incompetent until proven otherwise.
I’m sure whatever he was mad about was worth a decade of his life.
