Easter can be a catchall for the entirety of holy week and “the Christmas season” has engulfed the entire end of the year in the west. Eid, however, is specifically the end of Ramadan. Ramadan is the holy month of fasting, Eid is the festival at the end, where Muslims break their fast in a large feast. It’s less like saying “Merry Christmas” on 12/1 and more like saying “congrats on finishing the marathon” when the race has just begun.

Everything “the internet” (you know what I mean) likes is a little overrated because “the internet” goes too far with the constant praise and references and DAEs. So yeah, Monty Python is probably a little overrated, but it’s still very very good and foundational to pretty much all contemporary comedy that is actually funny. MP is definitely not without artifacts of its time. The Stan/Loretta sketch in Life of Brian is tough to sit through nowadays, but that granted, MP was still ahead of its time. A sixth of the troupe being gay certainly helps, given the attitudes of the time.
