The full context of the quote:

Interviewer: In a lecture lately upon the subject, [Reverend Joseph Cook] said,

Karl Marx is credited now with saying that, in the United States, and in Great Britain, and perhaps in France, a reform of labor will occur without bloody revolution, but that blood must be shed in Germany, and in Russia, and in Italy, and in Austria.

Marx: (Smiling.) No socialist need predict that there will be a bloody revolution in Russia, Germany, Austria, and possibly Italy if the Italians keep on in the policy they are now pursuing. The deeds of the French Revolution may be enacted again in those countries. That is apparent to any political student. But those revolutions will be made by the majority. No revolution can be made by a party, but by a Nation.

I honestly do not know enough trotskyists or maoists (or what Roderic Day thinks they believe) to make a comment on whether or not this quote actually counteracts them. Maybe it counters the Maoist idea of PPW (which obviously has failed to gain popularity amongst the masses in many countries where it was tried).

I mean, it’s not actually a small amount. That’s close to China’s entire military budget, or the cost of getting 5 stitches in a us hospital.

I think what’s funnier is that they haven’t even tried in this case. They just threw around the bad and scary words and expect your conditioning to do the rest.

Lmao, Al jazeera is also banned in Nicaragua. Also funny how the article claims that the “crackdown” is because the NGOs failed to disclose where their donations came from (sus) and fails to actually counter this idea, not even a “[the cia] has confirmed that this is not true”.

That leaves you with an article where the spin is harshly negative, but the facts reported support the government. This is the kind of cognitive dissonance you get when you defend the arts and stuff newspapers with failed novelists.

Wait, so the site hasn’t even been active for a year now and is still being referenced as a counter for losses? Or did someone else pick up the project?

Also, I did not expect the project to literally be just some guy with no apparent formal expertise or connections. Nor did I expect him to give a special acknowledgement to Jakob lmao (the yakubian devil jokes write themselves).

On an average day in the 905-day wider war, the Russian military loses nearly four tanks and nearly eight infantry vehicles, according to a running tally by the analysts at Oryx. The Ukrainian military loses just one tank and three infantry vehicles on an average day.

Given the sizeable artillery and drone advantage that Russia holds, this statistic sounds like bullshit.

If go to the website mentioned, they explain that their stats are based on videographic evidence and count captured or abandoned equipment as losses.

What I am guessing is going on here is a combination of factors

  1. Ukraine has less equipment to lose
  2. Significant amounts of Russian equipment is reported as abandoned when it isn’t (it’s hard to judge whether or not a piece of equipment is abandoned just from photos or videos).
  3. Some losses are double counted. It’s not as if the equipment has easily identifiable ids. If a tank is mistakenly identified as abandoned, but it is not, then gets destroyed, it is counted as 2 losses.
  4. Some equipment is identified as Russian despite being Ukrainian. This could be done on purpose for propaganda, but it could also be the result of Ukrainians doing false flag attacks (haven’t heard anything about this though).

However, it is anticipated that the 2020s will conclude well below the total inflation levels witnessed in the 1970s and 1980s.

Based on what exactly? And who is anticipating this?

How does one contradict themself so openly and obviously without realizing it?

The secret ingredient to the lrabby patty formula is orientalism.

No matter how bad it gets in the west, obviously those filthy asiatics must have it worse because white society is the pinnacle of human civilization!

This is exactly why I am a fan of one party council government systems (aka soviet style) because then the party can’t blame any other party for its poor leadership. The election fuckery of modern western governments is more than enough proof that multi-party systems are overrated and just devolve into blame games and pendulum swings.
