AFAIK she’s an anarchist, so she’s pretty skeptical of China but it’s a pretty unbiased look IMO and goes into history as well in the first half of the video.

Yeah definitely all fair criticisms, I didn’t mean to make it seem like more than it was i.e. a decent primer on how China’s current system was formed and the general structure of their government. I admittedly am not super well versed on Chinese history having only really read Mao’s works along with a few books regarding US imperialism that only really touch on China.

Apparently I have more blind spots than I thought, and a good reminder that YouTube and its ilk are no replacement for actual history and theory. Appreciate the callout comrade :rat-salute:
