We’ve been having this discussion in the group I game/ play TTRPGs with. Like 7 of us total all windows, me and another switched to Linux, a third is a computational scientist who is forced to work with redhat frequently, and a fourth member was thinking of switching. After me and member 2 switched, member 4 saw that we had problems (entirely discord for me, all games have honestly worked so far) and changed his mind about switching because he doesn’t want to deal with stuff not working OOTB.
I can’t fault people who want that, hell I do, Linux is well worth it to me but I will begrudgingly admit there are draw backs to Linux.
Team aluminum all the way. A higher up where I work is obsessed with stainless steel, he gets these monstrous heavy duty tables made out of SS that hold objects 1/3 of their weight. Makes lab rearranging a nightmare lol.
I wish articles would just call them Larian studios instead of BG3 devs.
Pill bugs are isopods right? They have a more hotdog-esque shape though.
I think the biggest problem is that dating apps are so impersonal. I know that isn’t super helpful but it’s nature won’t change imo. The advice I would offer is take breaks, especially when You’re starting to think like this. Just get off them for like 2-4 weeks and when you’re feeling up for it pick them back up. It’s gonna take a good bit of time so time off is crucial if you don’t wanna burn out.
Prior to this post I was of the mind that hexbear should be deferderated, however you made some very salient points that I had never considered. I agree with your approach to leave deferderation as an absolute last resort, and to try to work things out though the hexbear admin team. I would also like to add that it really speaks volumes of you as a person to have been exposed to such abuse as being called subhuman and still try to work federation out without allowing a seemingly minority of users to goad you into an emotional decision!
