These conservatives view the actions of liberals and urbanists like the Batman views the actions of the Joker. Oh you’re building walkable cities, Joker? Is that so you can trap them all inside in an evil plot?! What’s next, parks for kids? You’re sick, Joker.

“:The interesting thing about it is, it’s such a difference releasing content for players that are playing your game instead of saving up all of that content for one big release that you’re going to do later. So we came to the realization that this wasn’t the right way to be developing for all of Overwatch. It was about a year and a half ago that we made the decision to really shift strategy. That’s when we rapidly shifted the resources on our team to work on launching Overwatch 2, and that’s what came out last October.”

We realized the content treadmill model is the best way to make money so we’re throwing two and a half years of work in the garbage in order to get more money from the Live Service model.

whats crazy to me is that it took them that long to realize it.

It’s becoming increasingly easy to call yourself a Luddite these days, both because it gives you a chance to explain the actual Luddities, but also because everything invented in the last decade fucking sucks and everyone knows it. Every time Silicon Valley tech dweebs roll out something else everyone’s just hoping that it can be smashed and wont just be around forever making everyone’s lives worse. AI? Blockchain? FinTech? Effective Altruism? TikTok? I wish we could smash these up as easily as you could smash a fucking textile factory.

Wow grumpy pants! Perhaps you need to take some time to chill out in front of a good Marvel © Cinematic Universe ™ movie about how cool it is when we all work together in a light-hearted, irreverant but inspirational way towards the ultimate benefit of the United States

Well have you ever thought about how rude you’re being by talking about something that isn’t in the United States? Pardon us for just trying to contribute to whatever you’re talking about but also its probably a lot less important than the United States. You ask a lot of questions about what makes someone “from” a culture but the more important question is: how are they like Americans? Do they like our movies? Do they know english enough that I could travel to their country and yell at them loudly and slowly and they’d understand? I just think you need to find a new perspective on this because yours is currently very whacky. Perhaps you should be come more American at heart.

“what” being the first response to engaging at all with Hegel for the first time is incredibly relatable

there’s an alternate reality where the USSR won and Comrades of Duty (it sounds better in Russian) is the most popular video game series and there’s a level where you get to absolutely whip down a river gunning down nazis in this thing
