Canada and the USA are probably the least racist white countries in the current day. Maybe NZ and Ireland are better, not as familiar.
Pretty much anywhere in Western Europe outside like Berlin, London, Amsterdam, is far, far, far more racist than Anglo Canada or blue state America, and at least as racist as the more conservative regions of the US. Less developed parts of Europe are more like going back to the 1970s/80s

Similar situation to France - neolib “centrist” party, focused on practical solutions etc, has shit the bed and rapidly lost support (they’re yellow, 5 star movement on the chart). The Far Right is the main beneficiary. Difference between France and Italy is “our guys” on the Left in France have/had more momentum and Italy has more unity between the far right and mere “conservatives” or w/e.
Cars also have an exclusive right of way path, that’s much larger than a train track (not even getting into passenger density).
