There are people who think of papa joe as a god (or otherwise as a flawless creature) but they’re primarily Nazbols, edgy teens, people who are new to leftism and still have the liberal “my political hero is without fault because they’re my hero” mentality, or are mostly joking and just kinda doubled down on it after arguing with Anarchists.
They’re many steps away from the vast majority of Marxists, Marxist-Leninists, Maoists, and other such folk who get called “tankie” when the Anarchos want to deflect instead of discussing. “tankie” is honestly just a slur, and only just shows how little Anarchists understand about the world.
“Western Leftism” is more or less the leftism of the US, the UK, and of Bourgeois countries in general. Generally, it leans into libertarian ideals, the majority of Anarchist and Libertarian ideologies come from Western countries, and the majority of them refuse to accept Marxist-Leninist or non-western ideologies. The vaaaaaaaaaast majority of WL idealize anti-communist propaganda and blindly trust in authors like Orwell. They strongly fought against “Soviet Socialism”, as well they’re currently joining in the charge against the PRC.
Also, if i remember correctly, we wrote two people up specifically outlining that one of them was homosexual, and the other was non-white.
It’s always hilarious seeing lifestylist “leftists” champion him, seeing as he was a racist, homophobe, snitch, and liberal.

yep, keep telling me how the USSR and the US are exactly the same, anarkiddies. Black people and women were complete equals to white men in the USSR, and in East Germany transfolk and homosexuals were complete equals too… something that still isn’t true in the US. but, I mean, keep going off about how the USSR was oppressive and evil.
It hurts more to see the lack of LGBT rights be levied against Marxist-Leninists by Anarchists. People who during the American civil war sided with the confederacy. Do you know where the Marxists were then? Signing up to fight in the Union army and writing letters to Lincoln in support of equal rights for blacks. People who didn’t align with the suffrage movement in the US and England. Do you know where Marxists were then? Setting up women’s movements, and using their male privilege to legitimize female voices. Shit, Marxists in the US have been at the forefront of every social movement, including the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights. But no, us “tankies” apparently hate the gays:registered: because they didn’t have rights in a state that died before some (if not most) of us were born.
If you don’t think China is a socialist state, then before you critique it, you need to spend time studying it from the perspective of communists. This is something Anarchists and the western left refuse to do, which is why there’s a trend within the popular left to see China as a failed state that fell to capitalism and despotism. In reality, though China has many flaws, it does many things right and proves that a socialist planned economy and Marxism-Leninism can beat capitalism at its own game, while uplifting millions and crushing imperialism.
We’re not just upholding the enemy of the United States, we’re also defending a genuinely socialist state that genuinely attempts to dislodge capitalism’s monopoly on global politics. Even if you don’t agree with China’s domestic policies - to which there are a few questionable ones - you would be a fool to be opposed to their foreign policies. You would also be a fool to oppose the only state strong enough to challenge American hegemony during a time when American hegemony is on the way out, and the Americans are trying anything keep their diseased fingers in other nation’s business.
