Great post: https://redsails.org/china-has-billionaires/

And then the Western Left bursts onto the scene with a litany of harsh recriminations, determined to build up China into a villain worthy of war: “China has billionaires.” “China still has inequality.” “China still has wage labour.” “There’s no free speech there.” “Suicide nets.” “Free Tibet.” “Xinjiang is East Turkestan.” “Liberate Hong Kong.” “Neither Washington Nor Beijing.” Their indulgence in atrocity propaganda is unparalleled, and they’ll often outdo original sources and even the most vicious reactionaries in their preening paraphrases of Chinese horror.

In their “David vs. Goliath” worldview, heroism is characterized by evanescense or futility (Rosa Luxemburg, Anarchist Catalonia, Leon Trotsky, Rojava, CHAZ in Seattle, Bernie Sanders, the Communist Party of the Philippines), whereas victory and longevity are in themselves proof that principles were betrayed and sadism is the rule (Joseph Stalin, Kim Il-sung, Deng Xiaoping, Nicolás Maduro, Xi Jinping). Though socialist groups in the West tend to be secular, Christianity remains culturally hegemonic to such a degree that figures are appreciated in proportion to how well they fit a narrative template of martyrdom.

You are correct that the thousands of beliefs and sects under Hinduism cannot all be tarred in the same brush as casteist but that specific quote is definitely a nod towards casteism and discrimination against disabled people.

Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism are based on diversity, which is often misread as inequality. Every human being is different, because we all carry different karmic burdens from our previous lives. Each one has different strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. So, one rule cannot apply to all

This is just a defence of casteism here. One belief is that people who have good Karma are reborn as Brahmins and those with bad karma are reborn in the “lower” castes. Thus they can justify casteism since those in lower castes deserve it by being evil in the previous birth.

I have watched pretty much all his videos. I don’t think he is racist since he does acknowledge the racist nature of suburbanization and has even talked about the racism in the car friendly infrastructure in Bahamas. He is also one of the few YouTubers to point out the success of that “abandoned” metro station in Chongqing.

But you are correct about the rest.

It won’t matter one bit because liberal coalitions in India break apart at the first sign of disagreement, since they have no ideological coherence.

BJP is an absolute behemoth of a party with the entire Indian media and capitalist class behind it. They are able to easily buy literally any Member of Parliament or state legislature members. Even if the opposition somehow wins the election, the coalition will collapse with the relentless media campaign, the guerilla media campaign like WhatsApp forwards, infighting and parties and members defecting to the BJP.

I won’t be surprised if we are seeing the Japanification of Indian politics, with 1 party dominating the country for decades supported by the oligarchs and being propped up by the US and NATO as a tool against China.

He and his fans know nothing about Maoism, Marxism or Communism so he went for the most generic titles he can imagine.

Besides, the chuds won’t understand the comic if he was swearing to Das kapital.
