Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate that you’ve done some self-crit. We have never restored removed comments just to allow users to delete one themselves, and within the current framework that would not remove the original reason in the modlog anyway. Many not-banned users have visible modlog actions and simply do what you’re doing - self-critique and move on.
