Do we really need !islam? I understand being an atheist on the west is nowadays considered edgy or something, but this religion has always been a source of trauma and conflict for many (including me).

Discussing about islam is hard. I have tried my whole life, and it always leads to conflict with family, friends, and strangers. It’s even worse on the internet. From experience, I know it is possible to separate culture and religion, and I do believe there should exist some community where people who have lived in similar contexts can speak freely. I don’t think islam is the right one for this.

I can discuss it further if you need more reasons.
