No, I understood what theyโre trying to do. As far as I know, there are no foss payment processors, so adding a non-foss one would defy fdroidโs current foss-first approach.
Then, people on this postโs comments are saying that they would be good with a โpay what you can/wantโ concept, but, again, thatโs already the case with donations. Itโs literally how donations work.
I never expected this. What a shame.
Edit: the ads part are not an acceptable add-on for me, as someone who respects privacy and foss. I donโt know of a single foss payment processor (lmk if one exists). A lot of people here are saying โpay what you wantโ, but itโs that way now, with GitHub donation links; we donโt need this in the fdroid app.
I use Bitwarden for personal, and Keeper for work. Both great so far.

I got that notice a few months ago, but I didnโt use either button on the bottom. I used the X on the top, and havenโt seen it since.
