I’ve been really interested in the history of Rome lately and I noticed something, I really like the way ladies did their hair up back then, plus the clothes seemed more comfy

Anyone else got a thing like that? Where they have a fondness for an aesthetic that no longer is widely used or likes a style of clothing/architecture/what have you that aint a thing no more?

I long for an era when a better world was still possible.

I’m a sucker for cold war aesthetics. Especially from the Soviet Union, where you had this distinct feeling of progress and hope in the future. These times were turbulent, and yet could’ve had yielded a better world.

Watching videos from 60’s Moscow or 70’s East Berlin is always so interesting for me. Yea I may have some cool tech shit now but those places looked like they had life in them.

I like the 1960s aesthetic. I like how it has a kinda utopian, aspirational vibe to it. It is also way more colourful and cheerful than the generally more dark and gritty aesthetic that dominates these days (although I also like that ).

Also, the 1990s is underrated as an aesthetic too.

I’ve always loved the design of the early jet aircraft and the aesthetic associated with the nuclear age.
