Yes, but you can just buy a papery fake wasp nest at the dollar store for cheap. I got one of those and no wasps since.

You don’t need to learn to crochet, but you can if you want I guess.

Yeah lots of people just use paper bags on string here but those can attract different things

It depends on the wasp species but it can work

Maybe it’s different for hornets, but I’ve seen paper wasps build their nest right below and completely attached to an older nest.

We have a fake hive like this in our garden. Used to get wasps every year but haven’t seen a single one since.

Anecdotal but I believe it works.
