Tbf this is classic Trump. His whole life since coming into politics has been a loop of:
- Spawn or platform ghouls or ghoulishness
- Distance self from the ghouls or ghoulishness

The only thing he actually gives a care for is if they support him. He is only publicly distancing himself insofar as he is trying to court over the swing votes, which Biden is going to continue making easier and easier with his ongoing support of apartheid on Palestinian land.
