It makes me feel like a fucking idiot every time. I never see a fucking adult trip and fall like I do, and don’t tell me it’s OK or whatever, please—I want to know if it’s normal.

No. That is not normal. It is, however, a common symptom of chronic drug abuse / drug withdrawal.

Loss of motor control can be a symptom of either but that is a really weird first conclusion to draw and one that most people abusing drugs or going through withdrawal are keenly aware of

It is not a “weird first conclusion to draw” when talking to a chronic drug abuser. And I say this as a fellow addict: I was not aware that neurological symptoms like that could persist post-withdrawal—even for years!

I’m posting from a place of concern and comradery, not judgment.

How do you know you’re talking to a chronic drug abuser? That’s the weird conclusion

Um, no. If you’re having a problem with trolling you need to talk to a doctor about balance and mobility issues.

Aside from the recommendations of seeing a doctor, coordination issues can also be the result of dehydration. If I notice I’m stumbling later in the day it’s almost always the result of not drinking water

No that is not normal. If you trip on something (which happens from time to time) you should be able to place your other foot forward to regain your balance and keep yourself from falling.

Being clumsy is an trait common in people with autism, ymmv.

It’s not just social information that gets mixed up but pretty much everything. I have to catch myself at least once a month but I haven’t had a fall in a bit.
