I did, but not in depth. I think the cliffs notes is that fungi and plants are completely different, they have their own kingdom. It’s as different as plants and animals. The fungal life cycle is different, the methodologies for growing them, especially from spore, are completely different, and finally there’s a robust community around foraging for mushrooms which wouldn’t really fit in gardening either.

It might be too small for now, maybe it will make more sense after federation, but for sure it is unique and requires its own space, it’s just a question of scale
