Shits Hella good, but Hella terrible for you

I live near a really great Asian supermarket so I’m spoiled for instant noodles, and most of them are vegan-friendly.

These are probably my favorite instant noodles ever, and I always get excited when I see my dude Hon on the shelf.

Also, Paldo Jjajangmen. Comes with a little retort pouch with the tasty sauce.

Both are a little spendier than a basic instant ramen - I’ll usually spend about $2 a piece on these - but they are very very tasty.

Honestly those both look really good.

The best I’ve had is that super super spicy Korean brand. Those were really good.

Samyang Buldak is too hot for me, but sometimes I’ll use like half the spice packet and add some hoisin to cut the heat, then top it with lots of fried garlic and onions and sesame seeds. That’s some good spicy ramen.

I love hot shit, but yeah you ain’t lying. Saying Buldak ain’t playing when they say it’s hot.

A lot of mainstream brands will say “oh this is ghost pepper carolina reaper flavor super hot” on their snacks and it ends up being weak.

Samyang is the real deal though if you want hot.

I’ve been getting these Chef Woo brand vegan cups lately that are high in protein and their “beef” is a mushroom base and it’s pretty damn good. Good option for when I want to put zero effort I to cooking since I have a hot water dispenser.

I tried the second one in your comment and donno if I didn’t make it right or what but maybe I need to give it another try. It was good at first but started to get a bit too sweet as I ate it. I also generally like spicy ramen so maybe it’s just not ehat I was after.

I like the shrimp the best with chicken second. Anything with an oil packet beats it though

Maruchan is the best store brand generic ramen. Top sucks, it always tastes awful. But when my store has it in stock I get korean imported ramen because that’s imo the best tasting.

They’re ok. 7/10. Edible. Cheap food that works.

I usually am going for Indomie Mi Goreng (Indonesian Ramen) or Japanese Udon or the Korean style Ramen with the thicker noodles.

If you want an affordable kicker to your Maruchan - cook it with broth instead of plain water, and add a teaspoon of complimenting Better than Bullion base. So much richer.

Chili Shrimp Lime if im going with that brand, but normally I’ll do some Buldak, some kimchi flavored brand, or a lobster flavored brand
