I can’t imagine why that would be the case, but if I were a previous client of Boeing I would strongly consider changing my name

looks like you can’t off two whistleblowers a week before the literal door falls off one of your airliners in midflight without taking a couple HITS to your BOTTOM LINE

Don’t forget their failed space pod launch. Can’t even stop helium from leaking despite their billions of dollars in the project.

Some of those checkouts are focusing on the potential effect of helium leaks, five of which have been detected on Starliner to date. One was spotted before launch but eventually deemed to pose little risk to full mission success. Four more have now been discovered while Starliner is in space, but that isn’t necessarily cause for alarm.

You could leak a whole lot worse things than helium. But fuck me you can do a whole lot better. They didn’t replace the leaky valve prior to launch because it was “too involved” to do so.

vague memory but didn’t they do a PR stunt where a Boeing executive took a 737 flight sitting in the same seat where the door blew out and she looked kind of nervous

The common misconception is that she was nervous about the plane breaking, but in a later statement she said she was nervous because she had to sit in the same seat the poors have used

“Low Boeing sales embolden China, which is why we must give Boeing an additional tax credit for every passenger killed aboard their aircraft. This will break the unfortunate link between passenger fatalities and low sales being caused by China’s anticompetitive non-market behavior.”

Airlines are desperate for anything with wings they can get their hands on right now, and even then they don’t want to take the chance on Boeing.
