In general I agree tho. It started out strong making me feel several kinds of fucked up when Tulsi Gabbard said on fucking Tucker Carlson something to the effect of ‘We could stop the Ukraine conflict whenever we want by just not sending more weapons, not training troops, not stationing our military in Ukraine, and in general not putting weapons on Russias border.’

Musk’s take was that they should go for peace now, have the referendums redone with UN supervision (and honour the result) and Ukraine should remain neutral afterwards.
Fairly decent take but impossible with the Russian legal system now recognising the regions as Russian territory.
Honestly, I’ve been wondering what the general opinion of this guy is, is he a genuine class traitor or just a ghoul turned slightly succdem?
Plenty of neolibs, especially those in it for the actual economics not because it was just the prevailing wisdom, don’t have many national sympathies when it clashes with their interests.
He clearly doesn’t think these tactics will collapse the Russian state and if they move toward China or isolation it actually undoes his legacy of economic shock therapy in the name of market liberalisation.
My hopeful take is that he genuinely learned from how that was an abject failure and doesn’t believe in that anymore.
