Lol it’s not a stretch to say that any given prestige show is inspired by the Sopranos. It’s like saying that a given director was inspired by Orson Welles or Ozu. The Sopranos basically invented the medium, of course any serious work of art which is serialized is going to take some cues from them. It’s weird to pretend otherwise.

Any piece of media becomes annoying when ppl use it as a lens to try to understand even the most tenuously-connected things in life.

Lol the connection isn’t tenuous. It’s wild that people think artists live in a vacuum, never talking to other artists, never viewing their work.

Atlanta is such a great show.
