I’m looking for a website to host a spreadsheet for book recommendations. Ideally something where I could add people as approved editors but is good for privacy (so no Google). Any good options out there?

Something like CryptPad?

Seems pretty promising, have you used it before?

I have. It’s good.

Yeah. It supports collaboration and doesn’t even require an email address to sign up. It’s a little clunkier than Google Sheets but works well

But in seriousness, no, unless there’s a nextcloud analog for Google sheets.

nextcloud analog for Google sheets

I mean there literally is.

Your best bet is probably just dumping it to a CSV file and then sharing it on Pastebin or something. There truly are no good options for sharing spreadsheets online other than Google docs. You could probably just make fake Google accounts or something.

I’d probably recommend gitlab because it doesn’t have M$ pillaging it for AI bullshit to sell to the military.

They just scrape gitlab via bing and incorporate the data into the models that way.

Anything that is publicly accessible was used for training

A service that provides multi-authorship will be one that stores all of your data and probably tries to sell things about it.

If you need exactly that thing but want privacy, you’ll need to host your own service like nocodb or something and learn about how to make it secure.

The best privacy is to never put it online at all.
