So, I’m slowly watching hypernormalisation for the second time. I’m still finding it confusing because it’s like 6 documentaries in 1. Is the core thesis “Politics isn’t real because we’re so intertwined with the internet now?”

Meme magic is real

Each of the stories presented in Hypernormalization is one where the narrative drama is memetic in origin, but not in effect. (Tell a lie, take action on lie, lie becomes truth) Normalization (Whole world built on lies, ideology built on world, false reality becomes truth) Hypernormalization

My own personal derivation is that cognitive dissonance is a type of psychological attack against the people, and the only solution is to aggressively resolve CogDis.
