death taking a friendly, familiar visage. A skeleton is a person without baggage, without the needs and flaws we are constantly afflicted by. It is clearly, inarguably a human, yet it is not any particular race(I know you can identify a skeleton’s race but most people can’t, especially not drawn or sculpted ones.) gender, sexuality, disability, loneliness, any of the things about you that cause you pain at times in life. It’s your desire to vibe, no longer needing a job or respect or anything else. Anyone can be a skeleton because everyone is a skeleton, and we all have the same desires of skeleton at heart, to relax without conflict of our person with the people or place around us. Sometimes when life has really got me down I imagine myself as a lich or a skeleton. I am dead in a sense, but more in that I am beyond the pain of life. I spend time in my barrow and practice my magics, meaning I sit in my room or a library or a basement and read about long dead empires and ancient lives, or some discredited science or deep lore of a game I long since finished. it’s a soft death, I come back before too long.
