It’s not bad, it calls on the neighboring countries to help with refugees instead of calling for war or help from Amerikkka. It also has one slightly-based paragraph:

The Kalashnikovs carried by the Taliban are a heavy burden on the shoulders of all Afghan people. The countries that have used Afghans as pawns in their wars of ideology and greed have left them to bear the weight on their own.

Huh. Haven’t heard that name in a while. Wonder what she’s up to?

While she was recovering in England, she sent a message to a meeting of Pakistani Marxists in Lahore that “I am convinced Socialism is the only answer and I urge all comrades to take this struggle to a victorious conclusion. Only this will free us from the chains of bigotry and exploitation.”

Ah. That’s why she disappeared from the mainstream press.

Overall, the article has some good parts. I like this paragraph in particular:

“It is not enough to vaguely say, ‘Girls can go to school.’ We need specific agreements that girls can complete their education, can study science and math, can go to university and be allowed to join the work force and do jobs they choose.” The activists I spoke with feared a return to religious-only education, which would leave children without the skills they need to achieve their dreams and their country without doctors, engineers and scientists in the future.

But this is just nonsense:

We will have time to debate what went wrong in the war in Afghanistan, but in this critical moment we must listen to the voices of Afghan women and girls.

If we don’t debate “what went wrong” now, then when the fuck do we?
