The intro was kind of dark probably not the best special to watch if you’re not in a good mood.
The mom FaceTime song was alright.
The sock song was posted in the daily thread and woo boy it’s fucking perfect.
Him as the branding guy was pretty great.
White woman Instagram got me a few times.
I’m glad I’m not high cus the reaction video would really fuck with my head.
I liked the sexting song too.
The next like speech thing was pretty fucked. I’m still glad I didn’t smoke before this.
Got tired of doing all this (mostly cus I want to watch the thing). I’m to the intermission and it’s good. Funny, dark, interesting.
Funny note that the music played on the piano on the fake twitch stream is the same music they used to play on the district sentinel radio haiku segment.

I think this pretty perfectly encapsulated the shared experience of lockdown we just went through.
Plus this is one of the few things I’ve watched or experienced where I understood all of the cultural references. From the Instagram to the sexting to the reaction videos my sister watches.
I have no words. Just vibing I guess. Feel sad.
Edit: found some words that maybe make more sense. I feel sad yet idk…accepted? that this experience in lockdown, the lows and the “highs,” the radicalization and the despair, happened to pretty much everyone. It makes me feel less alone. Idk. I find it hard to explain how I’m feeling after watching this.
I loved it! I wasnt really a bo girl growing up (but a bunch of my friends liked him/ had crushes on him) but im an ~old youtube person so the special hit me right in the feels. i definitely felt the whole late 20s early 30s in a pandemic delayed adulthood permenant childhood stuff. i also like how bo seems more sexual if that makes sense…? like he’s a real adult tryna fuck which was cool to see after only watching him do “im bo yo” when i was like 12…kinda made me worried for bo though…i hope he has someone to talk to and this is bad but at one point i really thought he shouldve just gotten a dog (not as a magic fix to his depression but like…he seemed like he needed something to feed other than himself). bo if youre reading this maybe get a dog?
He has a long term gf! I don’t think he was actually stuck in that room for a year. The emotions were probably real but he does have someone to talk to
I cackled at all the very accurate to my pandemic-and-also-nearing-thirty-flavored depression bits. Months of alluding to this and that and talking around the specific feelings and internal conversations I’ve had and he just nails it.
