That’s truly the best part, they negotiated down and still didn’t get any R votes, as expected. Like I even saw blue wave people being like, “why do they keep trying to work with Republicans, they never actually vote for the bills” real egg on face moment. But I mean we all know part of the reason they even do this charade is their donor class does not want these things, but it’s all part of the song and dance so they can pretend like they almost did these things, that’s close enough, right?
I also hear a lot of “We want to but can’t because of manchin and sinema” these days.
I’ve had a couple redditors in r/politics reply to me that the solution to Manchin and Sinema is that we vote harder.
Vote harder is the go-to all-around solution to any problem the dems have.
