Obviously don’t hate on anybody that has had plastic surgery. I was just wondering what people on here thought about it as a phenomena.

Body modification is older than language and cosmetic surgery gives us power to create the form we desire. I wouldn’t have huge tits if it wasn’t for a very talented doctor in Mexico. I got my money’s worth, she really knew how to sculpt.

It’s fine if it makes you feel better about yourself, but bad if the reason you feel bad about yourself are fucked up standards created by advertising and Eurocentric notions of beauty

It’s cool but the problem is that capitalism pushes people to have unrealistic body ideals and reinforces cisheternormative beauty standards which can push people into spending money on things they don’t really need.

I do wish I can have easy and affordable access to FFS but I also wonder how much of that is dysphoria vs wanting to comform to cis beauty standards for women.
